I am an experienced trial attorney. I am an experienced negotiator and advocate. I have counseled thousands of clients and have settled millions of dollars in cases. I have done that by treating clients with respect and guiding them through the complicated and confusing legal process. I hope that clients choose me because of the premium I place on confidentiality, on empowering them to make tough decisions, and being straightforward. I value my role as a counselor. I don’t talk down to clients. I answer their questions. I call them back. I have a reputation for being creative, for doing what is best for the client, and for being prepared. I have worked for some of the biggest law firms in the world and I have also been a public servant.

 

So, why does anyone need another law firm? Ha, well that’s a good question. I believe that I can provide value that is different in kind and in nature. In the last several years, I noticed something. My former clients call me often, sometimes just to check in on me or tell me about their lives. Many of my former clients are my friends. My phone rings daily because of referrals.  I am often the first lawyer prospective clients call for guidance. Maybe they just lost a family member and want to talk through the next steps. Maybe they are looking for advice on the process of filing divorce or being involved in a personal injury claim. I also get calls regularly from other attorneys who are seeking guidance on a case or how to manage their staff or clients. In other words, in my career, I’ve managed to build good relationships. I have done that by handling small cases with as much care as larger ones. Good relationships take hard work and care. In the "old days", clients could create a relationship with their attorney and sometimes that meant keeping him/her for life. But today, big firms and algorithms have lost the plot. Metrics and AI are driving decisions about your case that are supposed to made between the attorney and the client. Bigger isn't always better. Your case is personal and should be treated as such.
